Unbeatable

On May 18th, 2021, the Detroit Tigers traveled to Seattle, Washington, for a standard three-game series. Upon entering Pacific Time, Spencer Turnbull had no idea that his baseball career would be solidified in baseball history. Less than three years after his major league debut, Turnbull threw the 8th no-hitter for the Tigers. As Turnbull achieved the unlikely, he renewed hope for a franchise struggling through one of its toughest droughts, enlivening a city whose fans never stopped believing in its team.

Miggy Chases History

This Miguel Cabrera career retrospective peers into the Hall of Famer's journey to becoming one of the Detroit Tigers' most iconic players of all time. The shortened COVID-19 season of 2020 stole Cabrera's opportunity to join the exclusive list of players to reach 500 home runs and 3,000 hits in their career. Many have chased this lofty goal, but only six players before Miggy have reached this tier. In 2021, all eyes were on the Tiger as he inched closer and closer to baseball immortality.

Remembering Lou Gehrig

Lou Gehrig tore through the MLB with one of the greatest bats of all time. His name was etched in stone well before his career came to an untimely end. Through 2,130 consecutive games, the Iron Horse was a leader in the league in stats and accolades until his retirement at 36, when he was diagnosed with ALS. The first player to ever have his number retired by a team, his name will be remembered in baseball and beyond for generations to come.
